Instant translation headphones in 40 languages
At an event in San Francisco, USA,
technology company Google announced the launch of headphones capable of instant
translation into 40 languages.
Introducing the headphones, dubbed
'Google Pixel Buds', on Wednesday night, a conversation between a man and a
woman was shown on stage in which the man spoke English and the woman Swedish.
Wireless Google Pixel Buds were
translating the man's English into Swedish and immediately listening to the
woman, while the women's Swedish answer was being translated into English.
Google also announced the Pixel Phone
2 and Pixel 2 XL, which it says have better cameras than any other smartphone.
By pressing the edges of these phones, artificial intelligence Google Assistant
can be launched.
Science fiction introduces the idea of
devices that are capable
of instant translation from one language to another, but this is the first time
that a major technology company has introduced such a device.
These headphones work in tandem with
the Google Translate service, which is already very popular on the Internet. A
user can press headphones and say, for example, 'I need to speak German,' after
which if the user speaks English, the Google Pixel phone's speaker will hear an
instant German translation.
In addition, the headphones can work
with Google Pixel phones to carry out voice commands, including making phone
calls, texting, or playing music.
With the help of this tool, the
problem of understanding the language can be solved and anyone can go to a
country and talk to the local people, even if he does not know a single word of
the language.
The Google Assistant and headphones
are priced at 15 159, and will go on sale on November 22.
In addition, Google has introduced
artificial intelligence speakers that users can access a variety of services.
